There are many other ways to check for diabetes. If you donate blood, they usually usually checkup a blood sugar with it too, and the very old-fashioned way depending on where you are. If you're outside the US, the old-fashioned way we used to check for diabetes is the dipstick your urine and look for sugar in your urine and that's less expensive way to do it than the finger sticks. but in US pretty much the modern way now is checking your with a finger sticks. You wanna check the side of your finger usually when the kids come with Lancets so it's really minimally. And you might borrow friends or just go ahead and purchase one of the machines if you're having those kind of symptoms. This is Doctor Grant Fowler again at the TCU and T Health Science Center Medical School. and we just took on the Internet and don't forget to join us on Facebook Live on this date and we'll answer your questions related to diabetes and other top.
